Diet: Carnivorous; primarily feeds on small fish and invertebrates.

Preferred Water Parameters: pH 8.0-9.0, Temperature 75-82°F
Minimum Tank Size: 55 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other Tanganyikan cichlids and similarly sized fish. They can be territorial and moderately aggressive, so provide plenty of rocks and hiding spots to create distinct territories. Avoid keeping with much larger or overly aggressive species.
