What does routine maintenance look like? In short, one of our technicians will come at agreed upon intervals and care for your tank! The intervals between appointments can be predetermined beforehand, or your technician can give you a recommendation based on the overall state of the tank.

Steps of a Maintenance Appointment:

1. Your technician will perform a comprehensive water test, and will typically test for pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate every time. If other water testing is necessary, (GH, KH, copper, etc.), they will perform that testing as well.
2. Your technician will proceed to do a water change. For this step, they will need access to somewhere to dispose of dirty water (typically a toilet, or a spot outside nearby), as well as a source of hot and cold running water. We are able to hook our hoses to most sinks.
3. All parts of the tank, decor, and equipment will be cleaned. Our technicians carry all the tools and expertise necessary to work with any equipment you may have in or on your aquarium!
4. Your technician will ensure that you are satisfied with their work!
5. Your technician will go through billing with you, and then confirm a schedule for your next
   appointment.
