Description

Geographic Range: Native to Indonesia
Diet: S. acrostoma is a micropredator by nature. In the aquarium, frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp, tubifex worms, chopped bloodworms, and daphnia should be offered regularly.
Average Adult Size: 2.5 inches
Minimum Tank Size: 29 Gallons for a group of 6
Temperament: Peaceful with tankmate- a pecking order amongst the group is normal
Recommended Water Parameters
pH: 3.5- 7.5
Temp: 70 to 80°f
Hardness: Prefers softer water (less that 1dH) but can tolerate up to 6dH safely
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: under 30ppm
General Notes: Ideally kept as a small group (6 or more). Prefers a dimly lit tank featuring large pieces of wood or branches and a sandy substrate. Plenty of caves, hides, and decorations to break line of sight will help with interspecies aggression. Can tolerate up to 7.5 pH. The addition of dried leaves and cones will aid in lowering pH and offer a more natural look and feel.
