Diet: Carnivorous; primarily feeds on small fish and invertebrates.

Preferred Water Parameters: pH 7.5-8.5, Temperature 75-80°F
Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other moderately aggressive cichlids. Provide plenty of rocks and hiding spots to establish territories. Avoid keeping with much smaller or overly peaceful species. Ensure ample swimming space due to their active nature.
