Diet: Omnivore – prefers spirulina-based flakes, pellets, and vegetable matter
Average Adult Size: 4.5–5.5 inches
Preferred Water Parameters: 74–80°F, pH 7.8–8.6, hard water
Minimum Tank Size: 55 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other semi-aggressive mbuna of similar size and temperament
Best kept in a species group or mixed mbuna setup with ample rockwork for territories. Avoid housing with overly docile or long-finned fish.
