Diet: Carnivorous; primarily feeds on small invertebrates and zooplankton.

Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Peaceful to moderately aggressive Tanganyikan cichlids. Provide plenty of hiding spots and rock structures to establish territories. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive or much larger species. Ensure the tank has a sandy substrate and ample hiding places to mimic their natural habitat.
