Pelvicachromis pulcher (Kribensis)

Origin: West Africa – Nigeria, Cameroon

Geographic Range: Slow-moving streams, rivers, and ponds in the region.

Diet: Omnivore; Enjoys a varied diet including high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and vegetable matter.

Average Adult Size: Around 3-4 inches (7.6-10 cm)

Sexual Dimorphism: Males are typically larger and may have more pointed dorsal fins. Females may exhibit more color during breeding.

Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons for a pair, larger for a community

Temperament: Generally peaceful, but territorial during breeding. Best kept in pairs or in a community tank with other non-aggressive fish.
